Who is Walter Patrick Martin Marriage Family Therapist

W Patrick Martin

Walter Patrick Martin, MA, LMFT, EAS-C, EMDR Cert. discovered that CES and a unique style of EMDR therapy is actually a method that every therapist dreams about, i.e., it is as efficient as it is time effective. Usually I have been able to see significant positive results in only one session. Give it a try and see the difference. Feel peaceful once again. The proven medical treatment of Cranial Electrical Stimulation (CES) re-balances your brain’s chemistry. Many people report feeling relief from the very first time they use the CES Ultra. Your brain chemistry re-balances while anxiety plummets. And unlike drugs, CES is so safe, you can use it as much as you want. Now you have the power achieve peace of mind and move forward with your life.

Quote: The choices in my life brought me to where I am now a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, Addiction Specialist, husband, father, workshop trainer, author and Divemaster. My passion to work with veterans lead me to towards extensive EMDR trauma training and EMDR addiction training known as DeTUR protocol. The inventor of DeTUR EMDR protocol, Dr. AJ Popky invited me to assist him with training other clinicians and provided me consultation hours toward certification as a Certified EMDRIA Therapist. Over the last 16 years life had brought many disasters and I volunteered as a crisis counselor during last two California Firestorms in 2004, 2007 and 2005 Katrina Disaster in partnership with County Crisis Team and Red Cross. Currently, I volunteer with Vista’s Community Emergency Response Team since 2011. While working with couples at Psycare in 2015 I was inspired to write my first book “Heart and Soul toward Intimacy: A couples workbook” as I noticed that there was nothing simple for couples to follow while struggling with communicating with each other.

What I do is my passion, it is not a job, as I see many people suffering from anxiety, addiction, depression and interpersonal struggles, my passion leads me to try new techniques such as Neuro-Feedback and CES treatment to assist in a holistic approach to health. I am honored to be a guide toward finding balance and assisting as a guide in healing with my patient or patients.”

Could EMDR help me?
A growing body of evidence is showing that many psychological conditions, including depression, often start with a stressful or traumatic experience.  We are finding that EMDR Therapy with a Certified EMDR therapist can help significantly with symptoms of PTSD, phobias, depression, anxiety, panic, early and complex adverse experiences in childhood, and much more.  It also has a strong track record for performance enhancement in a wide variety of fields — school, work, business, sales, sports, the arts, and that Most Popular Fear of All Time: public speaking.

Could Neurofeedback help me?  Neurofeedback is direct training of brain function, by which the brain learns to function more efficiently. We observe the brain in action from moment to moment. We show that information back to the person. And we reward the brain for changing its own activity to more appropriate patterns. This is a gradual learning process. It applies to any aspect of brain function that we can measure. Neurofeedback is also called EEG Biofeedback, because it is based on electrical brain activity, the electroencephalogram, or EEG. Neurofeedback is training in self-regulation. It is simply biofeedback applied to the brain directly. Self-regulation is a necessary part of good brain function. Self-regulation training allows the system (the central nervous system) to function better.

Neurofeedback and EMDR bilateral stimulation addresses problems of brain disregulation. These happen to be numerous. They include the anxiety-depression spectrum, attention deficits, behavior disorders, various sleep disorders, headaches and migraines, PMS and emotional disturbances. It is also useful for organic brain conditions such as seizures, the autism spectrum, and cerebral palsy.

Using EEG (electroencephalogram) Emotiv Epoc 14 ch device with mind retaining games can improve performance and decrease symptoms of learning disabilities. With ADHD Mr. Martin found this method makes significant progress and high functioning autism neurofeedback has been researching impressive gains in ability to socialize better and over all quality of life improvements in multiple research studies over the last 10 years. This treatment is only $100 for initial assessment session and $50 per session but you must agree to at least 20 sessions for long lasting change to occur as per all the research studies indicate. After the 2 time a week sessions for the 20 times then you can go into maintenance of twice a month.
